With each of the 9 days of Navratra devoted to a goddess who is a manifestation of “Shakti”, the devotees happily follow rituals and practices which have come to be associated with Navratra.
Invoking the true spirit of Navratra, JW Marriott Chandigarh is celebrating the consumption of Satvik food, an intrinsic element of Navratra celebrations, through its elaborate “Satvik Food Festival’- A Sacred Indulgence, from April 6 to April 14, 2019. Adding 5 stars to these celebrations of its patrons, the food festival will serve an eclectic range of Satvik culinary delights, much to the delight of the patrons.

At the Satvik Food Festival at JW Marriott Chandigarh, patrons will get to taste gastronomical wonders like Kashmiri Methi Chaman from J&K, Chana Madra from Himachal Pradesh, Gatta Curry from Rajasthan, Qasar-E-Pukhtan from Uttar Pradesh, Nilgiri Korma from Andhra Pradesh, Amritsari Gud Ka Kaada from Punjab and Parppu Paysam from Tamil Nadu along with a host of many other flavoursome dishes. The festival will also have a Live Smoothie counter serving some of the most refreshing and nutritious smoothies including Ashwagandha Smoothie, Gotu kola Smoothie, Saffron Smoothie and Tulsi Smoothie.
During these auspicious days of Navratra, the hotel is inviting its patrons to relish the Satvik Food Buffet for lunch & dinner at The Café@JW. As a mark of respect, during this period, the regular buffet at The Cafe@JW will have vegetarian & non-vegetarian items placed separately.
Apart from the Buffet, guests who are fasting can opt for a Navratra Thali where they will be served food from the traditional Cho-mukhs with unlimited serving. The cyclic menu of Navratra Thali will include mouth-watering delights like Sabudana Wada Skewers, Bharwan Paneer Tikka, Kuttu Aur Shakkarkandi Ke Parathe , Bharwan Tandoori Aloo, Paneer Tamater Kut, Singhade Ke Kofte etc. For this festival, the Thali service will also be done in Saffron, the Indian fine dining restaurant at JW Marriott Chandigarh, on guest request. Also, the Thali can be served in the room through IRD for in-house guest (one serving only).
